Dear members of the Methuen Community,
I am a firm believer in the power education, and a candidate for one of the two Methuen seats on the Greater Lawrence Technical High School (GLTS) Committee. I believe that we all want the best in traditional and technical training for our community, so that our local economy will continue with each coming generation. The value that GLTS brings to our community and the country is critical.
The “Skills Gap” is a reality in our country. At the height of the economic crisis in 2011, a survey showed that there were roughly 600,000 full time positions available in technical fields in the U.S. that employers could not fill. GLTS trains their students to excel in these careers.
ABOUT ME: I’ve worked for locally owned & operated Methuen businesses for 10 years, and I have experience in local & statewide government. I currently work as a Medication Clinics/Project Coordinator at the Department of Mental Health. I’ve completed two Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Government at Suffolk University. One of the most life changing experiences I’ve had in Methuen was substituting for grades K-12 for Methuen Public Schools.
Methuen is my hometown, and our future is important to me. The value that GLTS brings to our community and the country is critical. Methuen deserves to have two voices represent their interest in GLTS, and I would be proud to serve. My fresh perspective and recent experience in government and education makes me a new voice for Methuen’s interest in the Greater Lawrence Regional Technical High School.
REMEMBER to write in “Jessica Finocchiaro” for GLTS Committee. I can be reached anytime with questions or to talk about Methuen before and after Election Day, regardless of the outcome. Please consider me for one of your votes this Tuesday November 5th!
